Memorial scholarship awarded to local high school grads

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Members of the Penn State Alumni Chapter of Greater Youngstown awarded the Allen Udell Memorial Scholarship to three local high school graduates who are attending Penn State University. Chapter President Gerry Ricciutti, left, and Chapter Vice President Tom Pauley, right, awarded the scholarships to Megan Wilt of Boardman and Nicholas Finch of New Waterford. Paige Johnson of Salem is the third recipient, totaling $2,000 between the three students. The chapter raises money for scholarships from Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties by selling raffle tickets. The program has raised more than $20,000 since it was established.
