Girard issues water boil-alert notice after water main break

GIRARD — Due to a water main break, the city has issued a boil alert for residents of a portion of a Beechwood Avenue. The warning affects an area from Park Avenue up to and including 874 Beechwood.

As a precaution, residents should boil water for at least a minute then let it cool before drinking it or using it for cooking or brushing teeth.

The alert will be in effect until further notice, city officials said.
