New trial date set for Vince Neil

New trial date set for Vince Neil

LAS VEGAS

Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil’s trial has been postponed in a misdemeanor case alleging he grabbed a woman and pulled her to the ground in April outside a Las Vegas Strip resort.

The 55-year-old rocker didn’t appear in court Monday. His lawyer, Richard Schonfeld, told a judge that a key defense witness wasn’t available this week. The trial was reset for Oct. 20.

Schonfeld wouldn’t say outside court whether the witness is actor Nicolas Cage. Cage was seen in bystander video physically restraining Neil last April 7 outside the Aria casino-hotel.

Neil could face up to six months in jail if he’s convicted of battery.

Pink encourages Feldman

NEW YORK

Corey Feldman’s bizarre performance on the “Today” show last week is winning kudos from at least one pop star.

Pink has tweeted a message of support for the actor after he showed off some strange dance moves Friday as he led his band, Corey’s Angels, in a performance of “Go 4 It.” The performance was widely mocked on social media.

People magazine and other outlets report that Feldman said in a since-deleted Facebook Live video that the criticism has been “really painful” and that he’s “never had such mean things said about me.”

On Twitter on Sunday, Pink wrote, “I love ya” to Feldman, adding, “I know how much it takes to get up there and do your thing. Keep your head up and know that you’re loved.”

NEW YORK

For one night only, Angela Lansbury served audiences a live performance as Mrs. Potts. The actress revived her beloved character from the Disney animated musical “Beauty and the Beast” during a 25th anniversary screening Sunday at Lincoln Center in New York.

Other voice actors in attendance at the event included Paige O’Hara, Robby Benson and Richard White, who respectively played Belle, Beast and Gaston in the 1991 film.
