Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say they expect to file citations in connection with a crash involving three tractor-trailers late Saturday that shut down the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 at the Ohio-Pennsylvania line overnight.
According to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, the OSHP said two semis traveling eastbound struck each other, causing both of the trucks to flip over shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday. One truck went into the median, striking a third semi traveling in the westbound lanes.
One driver was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The names of those involved have not been released.
The Ohio Department of Transportation said the interstate was opened to traffic early Sunday.
