Young Professionals Garden Workday
YOUNGSTOWN
The Mahoning Valley Young Professionals, MVYP, will have a Garden Workday at the Iron Roots Urban Farm from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Iron Roots Urban Farm, 822 Billingsgate Ave., is a 1.7-acre working farm and training center started by the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp.
The farm provides fresh produce for the urban environment, encourages business creation on vacant land and teaches neighbors about growing food.
Volunteers will be provided with gloves, bottled water and snacks. For information, contact the MVYP Gives Committee at gives@mvypclub.com.
Good Morning Niles
NILES
The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have its “Good Morning, Niles” event from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Sept. 30 at the new Cafaro Co. headquarters, 5577 Youngstown-Warren Road.
At the event, Anthony Cafaro Jr., co-president of the Cafaro Co., will provide an update about the Eastwood Mall Complex, and the Enterprise Park at Eastwood project.
In addition, Niles City Council President Bob Marino will talk about what’s going on in the city, and Trumbull County Commissioner Dan Polivka will also give an update on county matters.
Christa Blasko, director of sales at the new Hampton Inn and Suites at the complex, will give an overview of the new hotel that opened this month.

Power Program set

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a “Power Program” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Magic Tree Pub and Eatery, 7463 South Ave.
The chamber’s Power events are about building business relationships with the goal of gaining new business while supporting local chamber member restaurants.
Attendees order off the menu at their own cost.

Woman Leadership
WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa.
Lawrence Mercer Athena will celebrate Athena International Women’s Leadership Day with an Athena event at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Park Inn by Radisson, 3377 New Castle Road.
The event is an opportunity to help future leaders with connections, support and mentoring.
The cost is $50 for a single ticket; $90 for an established and emerging leader ticket; $360 for a table of eight; and $450 for a table of 10.
