The 68th Emmy Awards (8 p.m., ABC): Jimmy Kimmel is our host for TV’s biggest bash — a time when the industry celebrates its “art” while conveniently overlooking the fact that it subjected us to clunkers like “Heroes Reborn.” It’s always tough to predict the whims of Emmy, but it’s a pretty safe bet that the night will feature several wins for “The People v. O.J. Simpson” and at least a couple of long-winded acceptance speeches that will put us on edge.

“The Case Of: JONBENET RAMSEY” (8:30 P.M., CBS): True crime is like catnip to TV programmers these days. Now comes “The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey.” It’s a six-hour documentary series that has a “dream team” of investigators uniting to re-examine one of the most puzzling unsolved murders in recent history.
