TMH Pink Ribbon run/walk is Saturday

Trumbull Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of ValleyCare Health System of Ohio, will host its annual Pink Ribbon Run-Walk on Saturday.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m.

The community event is designed to raise breast-cancer awareness for prevention, diagnosis and survivorship, as well as encourage health and fitness.

The event includes a one mile or certified 5K course that participants can either run or walk.

The course begins near the bridge at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, 1353 East Market St. and winds through residential areas nearby.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall for the one mile and 5K, and in the various age categories for the 5K.

The entry fee is $15 for early registration and $20 the day of the event. Participants will receive a T-shirt.

Proceeds benefit Trumbull County residents through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Project.

Health information, vendor displays and the opportunity to schedule annual screening mammograms will be available.
