Registration for parenting class is Sept. 30

NEW CASTLE, PA.

The Penn State Extension office, 430 Court St., will offer a class – Co-Parenting For Your Child’s Success – from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Nov. 3, 9 and 17.

Registration is requested by Sept. 30.

Topics to be covered in this seven-week series include styles of parenting, co-parenting relationships, your developing child, tips for setting rules, discipline, natural and logical consequences, co-parenting is your business and positive communication.

Each class will last for two hours, providing a total of 14 hours of education.

A completion certificate will be given to those who have completed the entire program and paid the one-time fee of $50 per person.

Attendance at each class is mandatory. Students who miss a class must come one hour before the next class to make it up.

No other arrangements will be made to make up missed courses.

Participants missing two or more weeks must start over the next time the class is offered.

There will be no exceptions.

Payment may be made by cash, check or money order in advance, or at the first class.

Checks can be made payable to PSCE Lawrence County.

Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee in addition to bank fees.
