Mount Union 56, Marietta 0

ALLIANCE

Mount Union (2-0, 1-0 Ohio Athletic Conference), the defending national champions and No. 1 ranked Division III team in the nation, scored on a pair of big plays in the first five minutes. B.J. Mitchell got Mount Union rolling with a 46-yard touchdown run. Later, Luke Poorman connected with Jordan Hargrove on a 74-yard scoring strike. Early in the second quarter, Danny Robinson stepped in front of a Darrien Fields pass and returned it 76-yards for another Raiders touchdown. Mitchell led Mount Union with 120 yards rushing on six carries, three of which ended in touchdowns. Jawanza Evans-Morris gained 95 yards on 14 carries and Dwayne Aaron finished with 11 carries for 83 yards. Poorman competed all seven of his pass attempts for 121 yards and one touchdown.

Thiel 57, Bethany 47

GREENVILLE, PA.

The two Presidents Athletic Conference opponents combined for 1,115 yards of offense and 51 first downs. Ryan Radke completed 15-of-29 passes for 263 yards for the Tomcats (2-1, 1-0). He threw three touchdown passes and his first interception of the season. He also ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. Nick Barca added 71 yards on 22 carries. Jaquan Hicks led the Tomcats with 113 receiving yards on four catches, one of which was a 72-yard touchdown catch. Bailey caught five passes, two of which were touchdown grabs, for 70 yards. For the Bison (1-2, 0-1), Chase Kinemond had a career day, breaking the school single-game record for completions with 39 while throwing for 417 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran 21 times for 94 yards and three touchdowns. With his yardage in the game, he also broke the school’s single-game record for most offensive yards with 511. Raekwon Wright had 17 carries for 89 yards and a score. Tyler Ambush led all receivers while breaking the Bethany single-game record with 17 receptions for 171 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, senior Donovan Hayden led the Bison with 17 tackles

Notre Dame College 49, Malone 21

CANTON

Brian Walker and DJ Greene led Notre Dame College with 155 and 109 yards, respectively. For Malone, Matt Blasiole gained 163 yards on 18 carries and John Iacucci passed for 310 yards.

John Carroll 17, Baldwin-Wallace 10

BEREA

Junior Austin Smith rushed 64 yards in 22 attempts with a touchdown for Baldwin-Wallace in the 28th Annual Cuyahoga Gold Bowl Game. The defense was led by junior linebacker Sam Groff with 12 tackles, junior OLB Sean Nischwitz with 11 and senior safety Brock Hull (Boardman), junior safety Trypp Washington and senior Brian Stepp (with 10 each. For JCU, sophomore QB Anthony Moeglin completed 11 of 28 passes for 82 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.

Hiram 45, Kenyon 7

HIRAM

Hiram totaled 528 yards of total offense. Senior Domenic Paolo threw for 271 yards and five touchdowns. Junior Danny Robinson carried 15 times for 78 yards.
