Amanda Beagle in Italian-American dinner show at Leo’s

Amanda Beagle – a former Miss Ohio, professional actress, cruise-ship entertainer and recording artist – will return to her roots with a hometown performance titled “Italian-American Songbook” Sept. 30 at Leo’s Banquet Center, 7042 E. Market St.

The show, featuring Beagle and her band, will be preceded by an Italian dinner buffet.

Tickets are $40 ($37.50 for senior citizens and groups of eight or more), and must be purchased in advance by phone at 330-519-7631, or online at amandabeagle.com.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the dinner buffet at 7 p.m. and the show at 8:15 p.m.

A cash bar will be available.

Beagle’s “Italian American Songbook” pays tribute to songs famous in the United States among Italian-Americans and those cherished in the homeland and passed down from generation to generation. It includes songs from the likes of Connie Francis, Jerry Vale, Mario Lanza, Rosemary Clooney, Dean Martin, Andrea Bocelli and more.

The show will also showcase ballroom dance performances by Travis Manero and the dancers of the Fred Astaire dance studios of Youngstown and Warren. Audience members will be given the opportunity to take the dance floor at designated moments in the show.

Guests will be able to purchase Beagle’s latest recording, “Amanda Beagle’s Italian-American Songbook.”

Beagle, a Howland native who lives in New York, was Miss Ohio 2004 and a talent award winner at Miss America 2005. Her career has included opera, musical theater, cruise-ship cabarets, and concerts.
