Here’s who will be in Northeast Ohio this weekend campaigning for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton:
For Trump
Katrina Pierson, his national campaign spokeswoman, will host a voter outreach kickoff at 10:30 a.m. today at Nevels Temple Church of God in Christ, 939 Elm St., Youngstown.
For Clinton
Actor Sean Patrick Thomas of the “Barbershop” films will kick off a Clinton canvass of Warren at 10 a.m. today at 4013 E. Market St.
U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who unsuccessfully ran for the Democratic presidential nomination, will campaign today on the campuses of the University of Akron and Kent State University. Sanders will speak at Akron’s Goodrich Lobby, 198 Hill St., at 11 a.m. Doors open at 10 a.m. His rally at Kent will be at the university’s rec center, 1550 Ted Boyd Dr. at 12:30 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. An event today with Sanders in Canton has been canceled.
U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, will campaign at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs’ Roberta Steinbacher Atrium on the Cleveland State University campus, 1717 Euclid Ave. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. with the doors opening at 9:45 a.m.
Actor John Lithgow, who’s won five Emmys and two Tony Awards, will be at a Clinton canvass kickoff at 4 p.m. Sunday in Lakewood, near Cleveland, at 14600 Detroit Ave.
