Prison sentence for Boardman man who made meth in front of son

YOUNGSTOWN — A Boardman man was sentenced today to 42 months in prison in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on charges that he made methamphetamine and had the chemicals to assemble the drug while his 2-year-old son was present.

Judge R. Scott Krichbaum handed down the sentence to Tod Caldwell, 41, who was charged after police served a search warrant in March at his Southern Boulevard home.

Caldwell had been free on bond prior to his sentencing.

When police served the warrant, Caldwell's son was at the home, reports said.
