“Nativity: The Hope,SDRq auditions will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for children at Youngstown Playhouse. Karen Clark Green will direct this Christmastime production. Auditionees are asked to prepare a brief song and/or monologue, and a demonstration of any specialty dance abilities are welcome (movement will be required at the audition). Auditions for adults will be as follows: singers Monday from 6-9 p.m.; “triple threats” (singer/actor/dancers), Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.; and dancers, Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Singers are asked to bring a song, and dancers are asked to bring music for a piece in their style (ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, breaking, popping, animators, jazz, lyrical). All auditionees may be asked to read, sing and/or dance. The production team is also seeking a tall male bodybuilder. Approximately 45 roles are available. “Midnight Massacre,SDRq auditions for this locally-made science fiction film that retells the story of Julius Caesar, directed by Travis Bowen, will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Warren Community Amphitheater, 321 Mahoning Ave. People of all ages are needed and no experience is necessary for small speaking roles, featured extras and extras. “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,SDRq directed by Paul Angelucci, Annex Theatre, New Castle Playhouse, 202 E. Long Ave., New Castle, Pa., auditions will be 5 p.m. Oct. 2 or 7 p.m. Oct. 4. Performances will be Dec. 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11. Roles are available for four men age 20-50, eight boys age 8-13, six women age 25-60 and nine girls age 8-15.
