Warning: Get your license before selling minnows

YOUNGSTOWN — A Scioto Avenue man pleaded no contest today and fined slightly more than $100 after being found guilty of selling minnows without a license.

McCoy Hayes, 75, was cited Aug. 10 by an officer for the Ohio Division of Natural Resources for not having a license to sell them. Prosecutors said Hayes was visited several times by ODNR personnel and warned to get a license before he finally received one.

Hayes has since gotten a license, which costs about $40.
