Museum to host fall lecture series

WARREN

“Victorian Collections and Coffee,” the annual fall lecture series of the Sutliff Museum, will kick off Saturday with a presentation on Victorian wedding customs.

This is the first of three free programs in the series and will be presented in the Thomas Meeting Room on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. The building opens at 9 a.m. for coffee and light refreshments, and the lectures will begin at 9:20.

Sandra Sarsony, curator of the Harriet Taylor Upton Association, will give insight into wedding customs during the late 19th century and how those customs influence weddings today. Those attending are invited to take one or two pieces of their own collection for the speaker to comment on during the interactive segment of the program.
