BOYS GOLF

VIENNA

Boardman, Lakeview and Girard were the tier winners at the All-American Conference Tournament at Squaw Creek. Led by medalist Cade Kreps with 73, Boardman won the Red Tier with 299. Howland was second with 341. Lakeview won the Blue Tier with 337, 22 strokes better than Struthers. The Wildcats’ Gino Bionci was medalist with 76. Led by medalist Anthony Graziano’s 76, Girard won the Blue Tier with 338. Brookfield was six strokes behind.

VOLLEYBALL

Canfield 25-25-26, Hubbard 18-23-24

CANFIELD

Maddy Johns led Canfield (8-1) at the net with 12 kills and five blocks. Lara Quirk aced five serves to go with 17 service points. Jenny Smith dished out 11 assists and dug six balls. Adria Powell had 16 kills and Addy Jarvis scored 12 service points for Hubbard (4-3). Emily Krinos put up 28 assists.

Edgewood 23-25-25-25 Poland 25-20-15-23

ASHTABULA

Jillian Penman led the Bulldogs with 11 kills while Jen Eich and Jessica Ferrick both had nine. Sydney Phillips led Poland in solo blocks with three. Penman made 17 digs and Eich finished with 22 assists.

Howland 24-25-25-25, Boardman 26-17-19-17

BOARDMAN

Cassie Murko had 25 kills for Howland (6-5) to lead all players as well as five aces. Faith Grant had 15 digs and nine blocks while Alexis Notar racked up 23 assists in the win. Kaylin Burkey had 17 kills and 16 digs for Boardman (6-2, 3-2). Haley Blangero had 18 digs and nine kills in the loss.

Champion 25-25-25, Campbell 18-22-9

CAMPBELL

Dom Sweeney-Gray had nine digs and five kills for Campbell. Statistics for Champion were not reported.

Newton Falls 25-25-25, Liberty 15-13-19

LIBERTY

Ashley Sembach scored 14 points while Izzy Kline contributed 1o kills, three blocks and 10 points for the Tigers (9-1, 3-0 AAC Blue). Olivia Hedge made 10 digs and nine kills while Ashley Gulling had 12 points and seven digs. Kayla Barreca also made nine digs, Autumn Hutson made 11 digs and Elizabeth Boone scored 11 points and made 30 assists. For the Leopards, Danielle Evans made four kills, five blocks and four digs. Sienna Garcia made four kills. JV: Newton Falls won, 2-0.

Brookfield 23-25-25-25, LaBrae 25-18-23-20

LEAVITTSBURG

Bailey Drapola racked up 19 kills and 16 digs to lead Brookfield while Tori Sheehan had 17 digs and nine blocks. Danielle Douce had 10 kills for LaBrae and Haylie Kiser had 10 digs in defeat.

Jackson-Milton 25-25-25, Mineral Ridge 12-5-16

NORTH JACKSON

Emily Williams and Ashley Totani were the Bluejays top scores with 15 and 11 points, respectively. Amy Ritchie had six kills, Sierra Huff blocked three attempts and Williams added 11 assists. Delaney Schumaker had four assists, five digs and a kill for Mineral Ridge.

Crestview 25-25-25, Columbiana 8-16-22

COLUMBIANA

Eily Emch had 13 kills, three blocks and four aces to lead the Rebels while MacKenzie Dauh had 11 kills in the win. Dee Dixon had six kills, seven digs and five points for the Clippers. JV: Crestview, 23-25, 25-16, 25-16.

Springfield 25-25-25, East Palestine 11-20-15

EAST PALESTINE

Sara Chaszeyka and Makenzy Capouellez were the top players at the net for the Tigers with nine and eight kills, respectively. Kaelin Yemma dished out 30 assists.

Mathews 25-25-25, Newbury 15-14-19

NEWBURY

Morgan Williams had eight kills and two blocks for Mathews (7-1). Katarina Schubert dished out 23 assists and scored 14 service points. Caleigh Hamby led Newbury (0-7) with five digs, six kills, four assists and eight blocks. Haley Hamilton dug 21 balls.

West Branch 25-25-18-24-15, Marlington 11-16-25-26-13

Gracie Heath made 20 digs and Whitney Wallace scored 14 points with three aces for the Warriors (10-3, 3-2 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).

Tanor Engil scored two goals and RJ Thomas the other for the Cardinals. Justin Montazeri had an assist and goalkeeper Jad Saleh made three saves. For the Raiders, David McKinney scored and Dimitri Callow made nine saves.

NEWTON FALLS

Austin O’Hara scored one of the two goals for Girard while Evan Purnell scored for Newton Falls (1-3-2). Kaden Myers made three saves for the Tigers in the loss.

Hubbard 4, Edgewood 0

HUBBARD

Bashar Rasoul had a hat trick for the Eagles and Colin Burdette tacked on one goal. Goalies Dominic Weser and Anthony Corrin made three saves splitting time in net. Edgewood’s Frankie Olivarez made eight saves.

Ursuline 8, Maplewood 0

MECCA

Adi Quattro put up four goals and Gigi Hitchcock posted a hat trick and two assists. Taylor Tomlinson piled on one more goal and had three helpers. Brianna Bowell, Kat Repetski and Sophie Alper each contributed an assist. Jordyn Keneally made two saves in the Irish’ shutout win. Maplewood goalie Leanne Brown made nine saves.

Austintown Fitch 6, Boardman 3

AUSTINTOWN

Jackie Muccio scored two goals and made an assist for the Falcons (5-1). Jordan Evans scored a goal and assisted on two others. Also scoring were Tiffany Aliberti and Brittany McFall. Lauren Dolak made an assist and goalkeeper Megan Bartley made two saves. For the Spartans, Cassie Stitt, Cara Higgins and Alyssa Earvin scored goals while Julia Tauger made nine saves. JV: Fitch, 5-0.
