Boardman cops probe $16,745 theft from Antone's Banquet Center

Township police are investigating a theft of a bank deposit envelope of checks and cash totaling $16,745 from Antone's Banquet Center Tuesday evening.

An employee at the center, located on Market Street, said she saw a muscular white man with brown greasy hair reportedly leaving the center acting suspiciously. After running into the man, she came back to her desk to discover the bank deposit envelope was missing.

Officers will review the video surveillance footage..
