Man found shot after western Pennsylvania house set on fire
WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has been found fatally shot in his home, where investigators say it appears someone tried to set fire to the residence.
Canton Township Assistant Fire Chief Chuck LaBella tells the (Washington) Observer-Reporter that firefighters found evidence that a small fire was set inside the house, but burned out before they arrived today.
Authorities say neighbors heard gunshots just after 6 a.m. and reported seeing smoke.
Pennsylvania State Police and Washington County Coroner Tim Warco were continuing to investigate.
The dead man’s identity hasn’t been revealed.
