Newly printed official Mahoning County maps, which are about twice the size of previous maps, are now available, county Engineer Patrick Ginnetti announced Thursday.
The free maps, also featuring larger type for better readability, are available at the county engineer’s office, 940 Bears Den Road, he said.
Ginnetti also said repaving has been completed this week on Sheban Drive, Truesdale and Hopkins roads and West Boulevard in Boardman under the county’s $1.8 million 2016 paving program, with the work being performed by Stateline Paving LLC of North Lima.
All roads being repaved under this program are getting a 2-inch asphalt coating, with center and edge lines being painted as quickly as possible after paving is completed, he said.
The recent hot, dry weather has been ideal for paving, he added.
Ginnetti said he expects the paving program to be completed within the next week or two, weather permitting.
“These roads have never looked so good,” as they do now, remarked Carol Rimedio-Righetti, chairwoman of the county commissioners.
