Austintown Rotary hosts firemen and speaker

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Special guests at the Aug. 28 meeting of Austintown Rotary included three firefighters of the Austintown Fire Department and a family member of Fireman John Fritz, who died in the line of duty in June. The guests thanked the club for supplying 42 flags to line Winthrop Drive honoring Fritz at his funeral. Above, a plaque was presented to Ed Kalaher, left, club president, by Richard Fritz, the father of John Fritz. Firefighters joining them were Bill Palkovic, Mike McNally and Mike Smith. Below, Atty. Nils Johnson Sr. of Canfield, right, informed members and guests about the oil industry and shale drilling futures and their effect on the world market.
