Events close many Mill Creek Park roads this weekend

YOUNGSTOWN

There will be multiple closings of roads to motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians throughout Mill Creek Park this weekend due to Saturday’s YMCA Community Cup and Sunday’s Green Cathedral Half-Marathon and 5K, the park has announced.

The following park drives will be closed from about 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday: West Glacier, West, Bears Den, New Cross, Cross, West Cohasset, High, Chestnut Hill, East Park, Valley, East Glacier, Memorial Hill, and Robinson Hill drives.

The following drives will be closed from about 6 a.m. to noon Sunday: Bears Den, Lily Pond, West, West Glacier, Robinson Hill, East Glacier, Memorial Hill, East Cohasset, East Park, Valley, Old Mill, East Newport, Kreider’s Entrance, West Newport, Chestnut Hill, High and West Cohasset drives.
