Two jailed, one sought in Youngstown's latest homicide
YOUNGSTOWN
Two people are in custody and a warrant has been issued for a third person in connection with a homicide early today.
Lorenzo Hilton, 26, and Vincent Reber, 21, are both in St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with a police hold charged with aggravated murder for the death of Daniel Sanford, 28, who was found shot to death early today in a Belden Avenue home.
Also wanted is Reber’s brother, Derrick Reber, 19.
Detective Sgt. Ron Rodway said that Derrick Reber drove his brother and Hilton to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds and the two claimed to have been shot in Warren.
Warren police were contacted, who in turn contacted Youngstown police and they able to link them to Sanford’s death. Rodway would not say how they were able to link the three to Sanford’s murder.
Sanford was killed in an exchange of gunfire, Rodway said. Police are still looking for Derrick Reber. Hilton and Vincent Reber were transferred to St. Elizabeth to be treated for their wounds.
