Ambulance stolen in Liberty

YOUNGSTOWN

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested a man after a report that he stole an ambulance from a gas station in Liberty.

Officials said an unnamed man stole a Lifefleet ambulance from Speedway, 4210 Belmont Ave., Liberty, around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Lifefleet called officials so they could track the vehicle, which traveled on state Route 711 to Interstate 680. After trying a traffic stop, officials said troopers chased the vehicle for two miles, stopping it on Sheridan Road off Midlothian Boulevard. They apprehended the suspect without incident.
