Newsboys inspires crowd with band’s brand of pop


The Newsboys, a Christian pop-rock band that was founded in Australia in 1985 and known for hits such as “God’s Not Dead” and “He Reigns,” brought its inspirational message and popular beats to the Canfield Fair on Sunday night. Above, from left, Jody Davis on lead guitar, singer Michael Tait, drummer Duncan Phillips and Jeff Frankenstein on keyboards perform for their fans. At right, Davis and Tait handle vocal duties. Opening the show was The Willis Clan, a musical family from Nashville, Tenn., who will also perform a free concert today at 5:30 p.m. at the grandstand.
