TCAP plans benefit golf scramble

A benefit golf scramble hosted by Trumbull Community Action Program (TCAP) of Warren is scheduled for Sept. 23 at Riverview Golf Club, 3903 state Route 82 SW, Newton Falls.
All proceeds from the “Tee-off with TCAP: Drive Away Poverty” outing will benefit agency programs.
Cost is $75 per golfer, $300 per team for the four-person, 18-hole scramble. Breakfast and registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9. Skins and mulligans will be available. Goodie bags will be distributed. There will be food at the turn and an after-golf catered buffet. Auctions and raffles will take place.
Non-golfers are welcome for $25 per person, which includes the meal and refreshments, access to the auction, raffles and putting contest eligibility. Prizes will be awarded.
The first- and second-place teams will receive $500 and $300, respectively. There will be various hole prizes for men and women including longest drive, closest to pin and, longest putt. Sponsorships are available. Deadline for teams and sponsorships is Thursday.
