SENIOR CITIZENS


Ajax Magnethermic Retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square, 4250 Belmont Ave. Guests are welcome.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at Lowellville City Hall in the conference room. The date has been changed due to the Labor Day holiday. Ernie Ciarniello will preside. Lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi and reservations should be made to Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. New members are welcome and do not need to be a resident of Lowellville. For illnesses or deaths call Mary Mascarella, Sunshine chairman, 330-536-8748. A 50-50 raffle and bingo will follow the business meeting.

Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will conduct the fall meeting Sept. 14 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. The social hour will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch at 11:45 followed by the meeting and program. Susan Harris will preside. The newly retired educators will be introduced. Harris will present the program “YWCA—Young Women With Bright Futures.” This month’s community service project will be donations for Back to School items and monetary contributions for YWCA. All area retired educators are invited. Newly retired educators need to make reservations; contact Harris, 330-618-1198 by Wednesday.

Saxon Retirees will meet at noon Thursday at the Saxon Club, Meridian Road. The ham dinner will cost $10. Reservations or cancellations are due today by calling Carolyn Rauschenberg at 330-793-6872. Take school supplies for the monthly donation.

YSU Retirees will meet for the monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg. All retirees are invited.
