Research presentations Friday at Thiel College

GREENVILLE, PA.
The Greenville Neuromodulation Center Faculty/Student Research Institute will host a plenary session from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday in which Thiel College students and faculty will present the research they conducted throughout the summer and previous academic year.
Delbert Abi Abdallah, Ph.D., institute director and assistant professor of biology, will open the session.
Attendees will hear presentations on research initiatives funded by the institute, as well as a keynote address by Marie Pollard, Ph.D., Thiel College visiting scholar, on her research using deep-brain stimulation electrodes.
Pollard received her doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Oxford in England. She is a neurophysiologist studying neurological circuits and mediators that translate to psychiatric disorders.
