The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will offer eight goose hunting blinds weekdays during goose season (today through Sept. 11) in areas throughout Mosquito Lake State Park’s nonpublic hunting areas on the south end of the lake.

Maps and sign-up sheets will be posted on the park office door each day before the hunt. Hunting hours are till noon (except Labor Day) with three hunters permitted in each blind.

Gun show

West Middlesex, Pa.

Hidden Valley Sportsmen’s Club, 268 Gilkey Road, will have a gun show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 24 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 25.

Admission is $5 and free for children under 12 when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parking is free, and concessions will be available.

Turkey shoots

Lowellville

The Lowellville Rod & Gun Club, 6225 Quarry Road, will have fall turkey shoots every Tuesday through Nov. 22.

Sign-up begins at 6 p.m., and shoots begin at 7. Shoots will be for meat and money prizes. Shells will be provided.
