CANFIELD FAIR: Attendance over first 3 days surpasses that of 2015

Attendance at the Canfield Fair so far is on track to surpass numbers from the last several years.

After a slow start Wednesday, the fair had 40,161 visitors Thursday and 47,352 on Friday, bringing total attendance so far to 103,297.

The Friday numbers were the best the fair's had since 2007.

Total attendance was up by about 6,000 visitors compared with last year at this time, as reported at a fair board meeting today.

The six-day event so far has had near perfect weather, with sunny skies and cooler conditions than last year. Today it's sunny with temperatures in the high 70s, and the fairgrounds are bustling with patrons.
