WARREN
Joshua V. Ross, 36, is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery after patrons at Cello’s Bar on East Market Street near downtown chased him down and captured him early Friday.
Ross is being held in the Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond.
Police said patrons of the bar were alerted that a robbery of the bar’s cash register had just taken place at 1:43 a.m., and several patrons took off running toward Pine Street after the man, who was wearing a long-sleeve plaid shirt and shorts.
When police arrived on Seneca Avenue Northeast near the post office, they found Ross being detained on the ground by a crowd of people.
Police said they found the cash drawer from a register containing about $150 under a vehicle. An additional $260 was recovered at an unspecified location, and police found a black BB gun against a curb on Seneca.
Police found a box cutter and two pocketknives on Ross, who has addresses on Parkman Road Northwest and Venice Heights Drive.
