McDonough museum to mark its 25th year

The McDonough Museum of Art, 525 Wick Ave., will celebrate its 25th year with an exhibition of works from local collections. It opens Sept. 9 with a reception from 5-7 p.m. and runs through Oct. 21.

The museum opened in 1991 with an exhibition of works from Dr. John J. McDonough’s private collection. The upcoming exhibition will feature works from people who were influenced by McDonough to collect American art, and also pieces from the Butler Institute of American Art.

The local collectors are Elfi Bulkley, Albert and Suzanne Cinelli, Sallie and Paul Dutton, Kay Franko, Robert and Angela Gilliland, Joseph B. Kope, Joseph W. and Angela M. Kunze, Kenneth and Mary Ellen Lloyd, Carole G. McDonough, Stephen and Ginny Meloy, Paul and Katherine Ricciuti and Louis Zona.
