Man held by Warren bar patrons after robbery arraigned today
WARREN — Joshua V. Ross, 36, will be arraigned today on two counts of aggravated robbery after patrons at Cello’s Bar on East Market Street near downtown chased him down and captured him early today.
Police said patrons were alerted that a robbery of the bar’s cash register had just taken place at 1:43 a.m., and several patrons took off running toward Pine Street after the man.
When police arrived on Seneca Street near the post office, they found Ross being detained on the ground by a crowd of people.
Witnesses said they found the cash drawer from a register under a vehicle containing about $150. Another $260 was recovered at the bar, and police found a black BB gun against the curb on Seneca.
Police found a box cutter and two pocket knives on Ross, who lives on Parkman Road Northwest.
