Jenna Hudock, a Boardman resident, has the opportunity to combine her love of teaching and art to the fifth-grade students at Boardman Center Intermediate School for the 2016-17 school year.
Hudock has had her art entered in several art shows, with the most recent being the 52nd annual Artist Show hosted by the Trumbull Art Gallery.
Hudock had two paintings in the show and both had received honorable mentions. The show is featuring paintings from several artist throughout the rest of the month.
Boardman Center Indermediate School offered Hudock a position to become a part-time art teacher for the students in fifth grade. This will be the first time in many years the students will be taught art by a specialist.
“I realized in high school that I enjoyed teaching my peers within the art classroom,” said Hudock.
Hudock attended Kent State University where she received her Bachelor of the Arts degree and is currently attending Youngstown State University and will receive her Master of Art in Spring 2017.
For the last 11 years, Hudock has taught art classes privately at her home to students of all ages.
Having the opportunity to bring her artistic abilities to Boardman schools is exciting for Hudock. She is greatly looking forward to starting the school year and bringing her love of art and teaching to the students.
