Glenwood seventh-grade football team faces Medina

Boardman Glenwood Junior High played Medina in seventh-grade football on Aug. 25. Medina won the game 14-6, but not without facing a major effort from Boardman.

The Glenwood team was led by Jason Triveri in passing. He went 13 for 18 with 138 yards and a 40-yard touchdown pass and one interception.

Three players stood out in rushing. Anthony Hightower claimed 30 yards rushing. Raymond Cmil rushed for 18 yards and Teddy Davis finished the game with 15 yards rushing.

There were four players who led the team in receiving. Cameron Thompson came in at 52 yards, which included a 40-yard touchdown pass. Kejuan Robinson had 38 yards receiving, while Carter Mraz had 37 yards receiving. Raymond Cmil had 11 yards receiving for the game.

One of the top defense players was Luke Ryan, who had an interception.

Leading tacklers were Anthony Butto, Alex Lindeman, Anthony Hightower, Raymond Cmil and Steven Conti.
