UPDATE | Gas leak closes Vineland Place in Boardman

BOARDMAN — Vineland Place has been closed due to a gas leak, affecting 27 customers in the area this morning.

Dominion East Ohio Gas arrived at 9:30 a.m. to the residential area after Youngstown Water Department workers accidentally broke a main gas line. The gas was shut off about 10 a.m., and workers are currently repairing the main line.

Neil Durbin, Dominion East senior communications specialist, said the line will hopefully be repaired and return utility services to the 27 customers by early this afternoon.
