FROM LILIAN’S GARDEN Meet the Artist
When: Saturday, 1 to 3 p.m.
What: The gardens of her home in Greece and Ohio inspire the work of Vasiliki (Lilian) Filippou. Ripening olives, pinecones, brightly colored architecture, and blue seas are skillfully captured in her watercolor works which are softly accented with gold.

What: Join us at the Nature Center for a music jam.

NEIGHBORHOOD NATURALIST: SHOREBIRDS
When: Sept. 10, 9-11 a.m.
What: Every fall thousands of shorebirds migrate through Ohio. The mud flats of Berlin Reservoir are a great place to observe the birds, and several species may be seen, including sandpipers, plovers, ducks, gulls and herons.
Where: Public boat landing on Berlin Reservoir, located on Price Street, just west of state Route 225.
Cost: Free
Details: We may be walking in muddy areas, so wear appropriate shoes. We will have some binoculars available but bring your own if you have them. Register for directions to the site.
