Rupe receives Volney Rogers Emerald Pierogi Award

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Volney Rogers Emerald Pierogi Award was recently presented to Joshua Rupe by Anna Marie Namath, last year’s winner. Above are Joshua Rupe and his mother, Kate Rupe. The ceremony took place Sept. 28 and recognizes outstanding landscaping and renovation of a residence in the Rocky Ridge area. The award embodies the spirit of Volney Rogers. Just as he preserved the natural beauty of Mill Creek Park, so do neighbors try to keep Rocky Ridge beautiful. On top of that, the Emerald Pierogi celebrates the ethnic cultures that once took root in the neighborhood.
