v Zombie Crawl: This annual event (registration is $5) begins at noon at B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. The Thriller dance will take place at 6 p.m., followed by a zombie parade to Federal Street, downtown. There also will be tours of Oak Hill Cemetery, which is just a few blocks away, at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and at 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): The Organizacion Cultura y Civica Hispana Americana, will present its annual fundraiser gala Nov. 4, and Teddi Noday and Benito Velequez will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss it.

Victory Christian School will once again support and honor Valley veterans. Assistant Principal David Pykare will discuss the free brunch sponsored by the school, which is open to all veterans and a guest.

Tuba, euphonium costume concert

YOUNGSTOWN

The Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University will present Octubafest, a free tuba and euphonium concert, under the direction of Brian Kiser, at 6 p.m. Sunday in Bliss Recital Hall, which is on the first floor of Bliss Hall. Guests are invited to attend the concert in costume.

The program will be a combination of classical and contemporary pieces with a highlight of “Not Your Normal Set of Etudes: 10 Blind Dates for Solo Tuba,” a series of song that depict the most awkward aspects of this social rite.
