Christian band revives some older songs

Resonate, a Christian band based in Youngstown, released its debut album, “Revived,” this week.

The eight-piece act got its start five years ago at the church where the members belong: One Spirit Family Christian Church. After receiving many requests, it finally decided to make an album.

The band members are Joel Monaco, Jared Monaco, Robert Young, Kristen Ruchtie, Leo D’Angelo, Kara Pecchia, Tony Villanueva and Vincent Vivacqua.

Resonate chose to title the album “Revived” because many of the songs on the album are new approaches to hymns and older songs.

“We wanted to create a fresh new take and breathe new life into these songs in a contemporary manner,” said Joel Monaco.

The album can be purchased on any digital platform, including iTunes, GooglePlay and Amazon MP3, and also in physical form from CDBaby.com.
