Police investigate drug-related case

BOARDMAN

Police are investigating a drug-related case after a township woman turned in some steroids to officers.

The woman turned in anabolic steroids she found in her bathroom that possibly belong to her estranged husband, according to a police report. She also found 75 needles and believes his drug use is why he has been more violent toward her, she told police.

The home’s address was redacted from the report to protect the woman’s safety, police said.

The man purportedly started committing domestic violence shortly after she found a needle in the home. Officers are searching for the suspect, who also has active domestic-violence warrants.

Student faces possible charges

WARREN

Charges against a female student are possible after the girl reportedly caused a disturbance at the McGuffey Pre-K to Grade 8 School on Tod Avenue Northwest. The girl purportedly broke items on the teacher’s desk and threw them on the floor.

She ripped items off the walls of the school while being escorted by a school-resource officer to her locker, police said. She later used an umbrella to mark up the walls, door frame and principal’s name plate.
