The Peter Allen Inn and Event Center, 8581 State St., is hosting its inaugural art show and wine tasting from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 6.

The work of local painters and illustrators, crafts people and a photographer will be available for purchase.

The event will celebrate the end of harvest season with special wine pours and varietals. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be offered. In addition, the Kinsman Tavern will be open with a menu of food, drink and adult beverages throughout the day.

Admission is free, and the public is invited.

Aundrea Cika Heschmeyer, events manager at the Peter Allen, said the presentation is among several special events scheduled for the historic venue, which recently has opened to the public after an extensive expansion and restoration.
