Reese Babuder scored twice for South Range (16-2) in Division III Austintown district play. Charlie Staffeld and Brandon Youngs also scored for the Raiders. Canaan Johnson assisted on two goals. United(9-6-3) goalie Noah Brieck made 14 saves. South Range will play in the district final against the Lake Center Christian and Crestview winner Saturday in Niles at 3 p.m.

Crestview-Lake Center, suspended

EAST FAIRFIELD

The district semifinal between Crestview and Lake Center Christian was suspended because of darkness Tuesday evening. The match was tied and in a shootout when play was suspended. Play will resume at Thursday at Crestview.

Massillon Jackson 3, Austintown Fitch 1

JACKSON TOWNSHIP

Elena Gutlove and Brooke Parsons scored in the first 10 minutes of the match and Emma Reed added another goal late in the first half and the Polar Bears handled the Falcons in a district semfiinal. Massillon Jackson will go for its sixth consecutive district title against North Canton Hoover on Saturday. Hoover upset top-seeded Canfield 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Mentor Lake Catholic(24-0) defeated Hubbard in straight sets in Division II Jefferson district play. Emily Krinos had 19 assists and Adria Powell had 14 kills and five digs for Hubbard (16-8).

Sierra Boyle had 20 assists, Lizzie Willis had 12 points, and 17 kills, and Anna Sevek had 12 points, 14 kills, and six blocks for Southern (20-5). Hannah hayed added 22 assists and eight points. For Wellsville Regan Pierson had 44 assists and Kiki Perry had 25 kills and four blocks. Southern will take on Louisville St. Thomas Aquinas in the distirct final Thursday at 6 p.m.

COLUMBIANA

St. Thomas Aquinas (17-4) defeated Western Reserve (14-11) in straight sets. Angela Farolino led Aquinas with 16 points, 31 assists, and four aces. Sydney Webb had 15 digs and Allison May added 11 kills. Lainie Grope had 20 kills for Western Reserve. Elizabeth Bowman added 17 assists, nine digs, two aces, and eight points. Aquinas will play Southern Local in the district final Thursday at 6 p.m.
