Kent Trumbull’s first Homecoming Court collected food, items for Someplace Safe

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Kent State University at Trumbull recently announced the members of its first Homecoming Court. The six students joined regional Kent State campus nominees to celebrate Kent State University’s 2016 Homecoming on Oct. 1. As part of Homecoming week, the court delivered collected food and personal items to Someplace Safe on Sept. 26, they judged a KSU Trumbull Homecoming Spirit Day contest on Sept. 28, and participated in a LifeShare blood drive on campus on Sept. 29. KSU hosted its homecoming parade the morning of Oct. 1 and announced the KSU Trumbull Court during the football game later that day. Seated are Homecoming King Alex Hatfield, a 2014 Chalker High School graduate, studying computer technology and networking, and Homecoming Queen Amber Waselesky, a 2014 Southeast graduate, studying nursing. Standing are homecoming court members Anthony Salem, a 2003 St. Vincent St. Mary graduate, studying exercise physiology; Dennis Richards, a 2016 Mathews graduate, studying computer technology and networking; Jessie Narkum, a 2015 Hubbard graduate, studying American sign language; and Darien Genova, a 2012 Warren G. Harding graduate, studying organismal biology.
