AUCTIONS

St. Rose Quarter Auction will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Rosetta Hall, 48 E. Main St., Girard. Tickets are on sale for $5 each, available only in advance. There will be tables of eight. Featured will be gift cards, holiday crafts and gifts, baked goods, jewelry and more. Bidding paddles will be provided. Tickets are available at the parish office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday. BAZAARS

Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., will host a bazaar Nov. 5. Turkey dinner will be served from noon to 4 p.m., and all booths will open at 11 a.m. Dinner ticket sales begin at 11:30 a.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 11 and under. Takeouts will be available.

CRAFT SHOWS

The 5th Annual Team Rae Craft Show will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Opera House, 152 Park Ave., Cortland. This year proceeds will help Hannah Tringhese, a 6-year-old from Struthers Elementary who has an inoperable brain tumor.

Christ Our Savior Parish will host a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Church Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. Admission is free, and a light lunch will be available. SALES

Boardman High School National Honor Society is hosting its annual bin sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 12 at the high school. Cost for each 5-by-5 foot spot is $5. For information or to reserve spaces, contact Mary Beth Shobel at marybeth.shobel@boardmanschools.org.

Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will host its trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Also for sale will be homemade vegetable beef soup, pork and sauerkraut sandwiches, sloppy joes, hot dogs, pie and various baked goods. Clothing will be $1 per bag, and all merchandise will be half price beginning at 12:30 p.m. Proceeds will help support local charities and the women’s programs of the church.

Junior Group of Goodwill will host a tent sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, 2747 Belmont Ave. Jewelry, vintage clothing and collectible items will be available. Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for entire family from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. October specials are buy two items and get the third free and 70 percent off all jeans, shorts and slacks.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, will host a Trunk or Treat free family event from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. There will be wagon rides, candy and games. For information call Irene at 330-758-8189.

Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Boardman, will have its annual Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot. In case of rain, it will take place inside. There will be treats, snacks and pumpkin decorating.

TRIPS

Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary in Salem is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City on Saturday for a shopping trip. Participants will be dropped off at Macy’s early the next morning and return late that evening. The cost is $100 per seat. All proceeds benefit the pets at Alchemy Acres. Mahoning Valley Civil War Round Table is sponsoring a trip, “The Road to Gettysburg and the Gray Ghost” from Nov. 11 through 13. Inspired by the new book “Last Road North,” sites will include Aldie, Mount Defiance (Middleburg), Goose Creek Bridge, Upperville, Atoka, Winchester and more.
