Miss Mraz, Mr. Platton plan to be married

AUSTINTOWN

The parents of Marissa Ann Mraz and Christopher Daniel Platton, both of Austintown, are announcing their engagement and upcoming wedding. The parents of the bride-elect are Robert and Barbara Mraz, and the parents of the groom are Glenn and Sandra Platton, all of Austintown.

The ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Nov. 25 at St. Christine Church in Youngstown, with an evening reception at Drake’s Landing Banquet Center in Canfield. Invitations have been issued for both events.

Miss Mraz graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is a math teacher at Austintown Fitch High School.

Mr. Platton is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at YSU. He is employed by Walgreen’s Boots Alliance in Youngstown as a shift leader.
