Austintown Historical Society will host tea

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Austintown Historical Society will host its 28th Holiday Tea on Nov. 13 at the Strock Stone House, 7171 Mahoning Ave. Seatings will be at noon, 2 and 4 p.m. The public is invited but reservations are required by Nov. 7. The event will feature a basket raffle; tickets are one for $1, five for $3 and 15 for $5. Winners do not need to be present. Cost of tea is $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12. The menu includes coffee and a variety of teas, finger sandwiches, pastries, scones and more. The tea will be served in bone china cups and saucers and dessert plates and will complement lace tablecloths. Free tours of Strock House will be conducted after each seating. Chairmen are Marge Goldner, left, and Rae Jeanne Mollica. Joyce Pogany, right, is general chairman. All proceeds will benefit the historical society.
