UPDATE: 2 bodies discovered on Volney Road

YOUNGSTOWN

City police and the Mahoning County Coroner’s office are investigating what Detective Capt. Bradley Blackburn described as a possible murder-suicide in the 2000 block of Volney Road.

Authorities estimated that the victims, a mother and son, have been dead for about five days. Police were called to the scene at about 4:30 p.m. today.
