A summary of police activity in Austintown:

AUSTINTOWN

Oct. 10

Theft: A male suspect was involved in a theft at Certified Oil, 925 Niles-Canfield Road.

Identity theft: Accounts were opened in a victim’s name at a home in the 4000 block of Carlisle Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Angeline Postlethwait, 36, of Kirk Road on a warrant involving unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Officers later charged her with possession of drugs.

Oct. 11

Aggravated menacing: A prison guard was threatened at a home in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.

Recovered property: A wallet was recovered and returned to its owner at Subway,1600 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Two women made fraudulent returns at Dollar General, 202 S. Raccoon Road, and later at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls and text messages were reported at a home in the 200 block of North Beverly Avenue.

Oct. 12

Warrant: Police arrested Alec Eutin, 28, of Jennerstown, Pa., on a warrant for domestic violence.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Brandon Bucci, 21, of Westwood Drive, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Disorderly conduct: Police issued a summons to J. Scott Barfield, 43, of Winchester Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Vehicle theft: A Toyota Rav4 was stolen from Rulli Bros., 4331 Kirk Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Naheem Hassen, 20, of South Street, Warren, and Brianna Dorsett, 27, of Shirley Road, Youngstown, on warrants for assault in reference to a domestic-violence incident at a home in the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Criminal trespass: Police arrested Jermayne Brooks, 23, of Hillman Way, Boardman, on a charge of criminal trespassing in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Theft: A $900 winning ticket was stolen from Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course, 777 Hollywood Drive.

Oct. 13

Warrant: Police arrested Steven Manevich, 29, of Cranberry Lane, Howland, on a warrant for probation violation and a petty theft charges.

Drug offense: Police arrested Brandon Waugh, 27, homeless, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant out of Ashtabula County.

Oct. 14

Warrant: Police arrested Nike McQueen, 21,of Tyrell Street, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge.

Theft: Two washing machines were damaged and coins taken at Fox Run Apartments, 70 N. Raccoon Road.

Lost or stolen property: A woman had a necklace taken at Planet Fitness, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Menacing by stalking: A stalking incident was reported at a business in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Drug offense: Police arrested Matthew Benner, 40, of Columbiana-Lisbon Road, Columbiana, on charges of possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Recovered property: A debit card was recovered at PNC Bank, 4949 Mahoning Ave.

Oct. 15

Weapons offense: Police charged Hannah Cover, 23, of Meadow Lane, New Castle, Pa., on a charge of improper handling of a firearm. Police said they found a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun with a loaded chamber and seven bullets in its magazine in her vehicle and an four live rounds in another magazine.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Michael Graham, 35, of McClelland, New Castle, Pa., on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Theft: Police arrested Damian St. John, 38, of Roanoke Avenue on a theft charge. Police accused him of taking $139.95 in merchandise, including a baby blanket, pacifiers, a small baby outfit and a monitor from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Recovered property: A bicycle was recovered at Austintown Elementary School, 245 Idaho Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Nicholas Hovey, 25, of Reed Avenue, Campbell, on a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense.

Oct. 16

Warrant: Police arrested Taylor Sanford, 25, of Tyrell Street, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear on a child-restraint charge.

Attempted theft: A suspect attempted to steal beer and pop that was recovered by employees of the Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: Windows were damaged on a vehicle parked at a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.
