The Poland library hosted a Positively Preposterous Puppet Show on Sept. 27.

Children came to the library with their families and friends to enjoy two different puppet shows. Puppeteers, Annette Ahrens and Vikki Peck, performed the stories “Henny Penny” and “Rumpelstiltskin.”

Between the two plays, Ahrens and Peck would come out to the back room and have the children participate in a short dancing activity to get them moving after sitting still for the play.

When both performances were finished, children had the opportunity to decorate their own puppets however they like. There were socks, googly eyes, yarn and other materials provided for children to use. The different colored socks already had a little hole cut out for the mouths.

The children could take home their puppets to play with and allow them put on their own puppet show.
