The Boardman library hosted a talent show on Sept. 21 for children of all ages to participate in.

Youth librarian Karen Saunders hosted the show and introduced each child as they went to the front of the room to show off their talent. There were children who told jokes, played the pianos and showed many more talents.

Some of the children signed up prior to the event and had time to practice their talent. There were also children in the library who came to the talent show as it started and improvised a talent to show the audience. The families and friends in the audience graciously applauded each child after they finished their performance.

After the children performed their talent, they would get a treat bag. Inside the bag there was a little trophy, a library frisbee and a ring laser pointer for the children to take home.

The talent show is normally in the summer time, but Saunders moved it to fall this year to allow more people to attend. Saunders said the talent show has been an event at the library for about 10 years now and she hopes that it will continue to be an annual event.
